Yesterday, I got my eyelashes extended using 3D Eye Lashes by Chantal at Bliss Nagels Wimpers en Trends
I am a complete newbie with this kind of stuff, and I have to admit I was a little apprehensive at first. But...I decided to just give it a try, and I am extremely happy with the result!
I already had long lashes, but they weren't fluffy or curly enough at all. I would always spend a good 5 minutes out of my make up routine in the mornings, curling and mascara-ing my lashes until they were fluttery and flirtatious!
These lashes make my eyes look so much wider (and a little more awake ;) ! )
So for all of you out there who are interested in trying out these lashes, I highly recommend them! Even if you don't want to extend the length of your lashes that much, like me - maybe consider them to fluff-out your lashes a bit more! You know how make-up companies are always marketing their mascaras by promising voluminous lashes? And you know how it doesn't always quite work out the way you expected it to...the way you see it on the telly? Well.. NOW YOU CAN HAVE THEM FOR REAL! And the best part is... YOU WAKE UP LIKE THIS! (Cue Beyonce song)
And, if you're in the Nieuwegein area in the Netherlands, I highly recommend Chantal at Bliss Nagels, Wimpers en Trends (Bliss Nails, Eyelashes and Trends). See the links to her details below..
3D lashes is a new technique in applying lash extensions. It originated in Russia, and is designed to make your lashes fluffier and more voluminous.
What's the difference between regular lashes and 3D lashes?
While regular lash extensions, or rather 1D lash extensions, only use one lash-strand per eyelash, 3D lashes uses 3 finer lashes on each natural eyelash. Although you'd think that applying more than one eyelash on a natural lash would weigh it down, it does quite the opposite. These fake lashes are so fine and light weight that they do not weigh it down as much as the 2D lashes.
Why should I consider this for myself?
Although it may seem quite dramatic, and of course it takes some getting used to when looking yourself in the mirror.. but it is definitely worth it! I wake up in the morning with voluminous lashes. I go to bed with voluminous lashes. And I don't have to put mascara on ever again! I can also just go about my day, without heavy eye makeup on, just because the lashes do so much for me! Take my word for it, you don't know how much they really effect the way your eyes look until you get them done yourself!
Tips for finding the right salon to get them one.
Make sure the salon is sanitised. You don't want to get an infection on your eyes just because you took a risk for the "cheap option".
Ask questions! Never be afraid to ask about the technique used, the products applied or the educational background of the beauty therapist applying your lashes. You never want to go in blind (badumdum chsshhhhhh).
Do your research before going to get them done. Make sure you know what to expect so that you can immediately know when something is going wrong and you can say STOP.
I haven't had them long, but I love them already! I will keep you updated on my experience with them, so make sure to follow me on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter so that you don't miss a single update! I may have something interested to say ;)
Enjoy your lashes bunnies, and don't forget to send me photos of all of your flirtatious eyes!
Love,
